Permanent makeup, also known as cosmetic tattooing or micropigmentation, is a procedure where pigment is implanted into the skin to enhance facial features such as eyebrows, eyeliner, and lips.
How long does permanent makeup last?
The results typically last 1–3 years, depending on factors like skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare. Touch-ups are usually required to maintain the look.
Is the procedure painful?
Most clients experience minimal discomfort as a numbing cream is applied before and during the procedure. Sensitivity may vary depending on the area being treated.
What areas of the face can you enhance with permanent makeup?
Common areas include eyebrows (microblading, ombre, powder brows), eyeliner (upper,
lower, or lash enhancement), and lips (lip blush, full lip color).
How long does the procedure take?
Each session usually takes 1.5 to 3 hours, depending on the area being treated and the complexity of the design.
Is permanent makeup safe?
Yes, when performed by a trained and licensed professional using high-quality pigments
and sterile equipment, it is a safe procedure. Always research your technician and their
credentials.
Meet the Artist

Cheryl Diss
Hi! My name is Cheryl Diss and I have been a tattoo artist for over 20 years. My focus over the last 5 years has been more specifically permanent makeup. I like to help by giving people back something they may have lost due to a medical condition, or some type of accident. The goal is for my clients to feel comfortable in their own skin.
In my spare time, I love to create art of all kinds, spend time with my dogs and ride my Harley on beautiful sunny days.

BOOK NOWPre-Treatment
Before coming in for your appointment, please read these guidelines.Do I need to prepare for my appointment?
Avoid caffeine, alcohol, and blood-thinning medications (e.g., aspirin) 24 hours before your appointment. Avoid tanning or sun exposure prior to your session, and inform the technician of any allergies or medical conditions.
Who should avoid permanent makeup?
Pregnant or breastfeeding individuals, people with certain medical conditions like uncontrolled diabetes, skin disorders, or infections near the treatment area, and those with a history of keloid scars or severe allergic reactions should avoid permanent makeup.
Can I wear makeup before or after the procedure?
Avoid wearing makeup to the appointment, as the area must be clean. After the procedure, you’ll need to avoid applying makeup to the treated area for several days during the healing process.
Aftercare and Healing
What is the aftercare process?
Keep the treated area clean and dry. Apply the recommended ointment as instructed by your technician. Avoid sun exposure, swimming, and sweating excessively for at least 7–10 days. Do not pick at any scabs or flakes during healing.
How long does it take to heal?
Initial healing typically takes 7–10 days, but full results are visible after about 4–6 weeks as the skin fully heals and the pigment settles.
What should I do if the color fades unevenly?
Uneven fading is normal during the healing process. A follow-up touch-up session, typically 4–8 weeks after the initial appointment, corrects this.
Will the color change over time?
Over time, pigments may fade and shift slightly in tone. Regular touch-ups help maintain the desired look.
